2000 Grand Cherokee Limited Problems with AC Cool on Drivers Side But Not Passengers

I recently had my air conditioning recharged and for some reason the air is really cold on the driver's side but not on the passenger side. Anyone have an idea whats wrong and how it can be fixed. Thank you

ok this is a odd one, most people do not have hot air and the cold works just fine.

first check to see if oyu have any codes. since you have a limited with dual control its simple.
go to http://wjjeeps.com/climate.htm
and follow the steps underAZC self-diagnostic mode

most likely you will get one that says door travled to large or small.

and if so you can do a simple $200 fix in under an hour by yourself at home.

i did a write up on it take a look
http://www.*********.com/forum/f13/d...p-pics-884932/
this is the part that lets you keep dual control and you dont have to take apart the dash http://blendorstore.com/li ordered it his ebay store since was a few bucks less

hope it helps and let us know what codes you get

this forum has a filter against other jeep forums lol
that a good way to keep from helping others, i know a few people on this forum heavily post jeep garage things on other jeep forums. should tell this to the admins on them and see how they fell. i understand the cursing and personal attacks but this is stupid

Hi I too have just had my Aircon recharged and got the exact same fault which was okay before the recharge, on my 2004 V8 Overland with only 40k. I have no faults showing and have reset the system. I am fairly sure my blend doors are not broken as I can still get hot air in the footwells on both sides in fact in any position. Someone must have dealt with this problem before.

Okay I tried doing the self diagnostic mode.... I pressed both the A/C and the Recirc button and then turned the left knob clockwise. Well a #14 showed up. When I tried to exit the diagnostic mode, I turned the left knob and it just kept going up in numbers. It went all the way up to 88 i believe and then it when to 1 and so on.... Anyone know why I didn't get my troubleshoot codes?

Re: 2000 Grand Cherokee Limited Problems with AC Cool on Drivers Side But Not Passeng

Try the calibration method for the doors first to see if that makes any difference:
Calibrating AZC door actuators

Calibrate the door actuators after making any repairs to the AZC system. To calibrate the door actuators proceed as follows:
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. Set the AZC to automatic.
3. Turn the ignition off.
4. Remove the IOD fuse from the Power Distribution Center. Wait several seconds, and then install the IOD fuse.
5. Turn the ignition on. Do not touch any of the AZC controls for at least one minute to allow the calibration function to run to completion.

Every 20 key cycles the AZC head initiates a re-calibration routine which identifies pulse counts required to achieve full door travel. Also during this routine all modes and functions are validated as functional. When the self calibration routine is complete, the control head resets itself to its last settings.
