LED lights

So I've got two LED strips that I am going to put under my dash for a little bit more lighting....It says to hook the wires (splice them) into a 12v or a 10amp source of power....What's the best way to do this??? I've wrapped the wires from something small around a 10amp fuse running the radio before in a previous Jeep, but all of the interior fuses in my 05 WK don't seem like they will keep the lights running when I'm driving....Any ideas???!!!

Did you just take the front of the dash off to get to it? Or is there an easier way?

this sounds like a good idea, I should do the same, the LED strips I had bought before are pretty bright, I don't think I would want them on all them time, just when the door is open.

Hooked mine up to the cigerette lighter so when the vehicle was off, lights shut off.

My sister installed hers to the key starter, both work

multiple ways of doing this, depends on when you want them to turn on and if you want a manual switch to turn them on or off. let me know and i can help you out.

I appreciate all the responses! I actually figured out a pretty good way! I ended up wiring the lights to a 12v battery pack and then wired in a rocker switch to turn them on and off. It works great and I didn't have worry about blowing any fuses or burning anything up! lol....I put the rocker switch in the back of the little storage compartment that is to the left of the steering wheel.

Also, if you search on ebay, you can find neon cathodes for like 2 dollars for a 12" tube.

They are AMAZING!! ill have to post some old photos of my cavalier.
