Newbie: Electric fan relay switch:(

Hey guys newbie here but not to the Jeep world, I just purchased a 2000 Grand Cherokee Limited 4.7, not my first and am now working out the bugs. I found that the electric fan hasnt been coming on so did my research and replaced the fan relay and still no worky. I read somewhere on how to check the fan. Disconnect the coolant temp switch and it shoud come on, somebody let me know if this is correct and a pic of were that little bugger is located would be great. Thanks fella's.

The easiest way to check the electric fan is to disconnect the wire connector closest to the fan and run temporary leads from the fan side to the battery terminals. If it runs when the wires are connected properly to a direct 12v source then your problem lies somewhere other than the fan itself.

Here a picture of where the coolant temp sensor is placed, hope this is clear enough.
The PCM uses the temperature info from this sensor to switch on the cooling fan via the fan relay.
