Lowering Springs

Hey I want 2 lower the Jeep but I'm not sure if I should buy Eibachs or H&R springs. Much of a difference between the two? They both claim 1.2 drop on their site, but some of you may have had difference results!

Which ones?

I havnt. I don't want to slam it down like bwoodys do

Re: Lowering Springs

these arent as low as the bwoodys....maybe like 2"-2 1/4" instead of 3".....LOL. But from what Ive heard the eibachs and the H&R's are about the same....but the H&R's drop the Jeep just a tad more.....

I'm finding the info on GC lowering springs to be very inconsistent!

Re: Lowering Springs

it is.....different people are reporting different heights after lowering. Its odd or someone is lying.....LOL

Re: Lowering Springs

things like bilsteins may have something to do with it.

plus have you had a look at how many spring part numbers for the wk? there are like 20. so if people arent starting at the same place.......then results will vary.

i got a 1.3-1.4 rear drop with rear H&R only. i havent done the front ones.

Re: Lowering Springs

lets start a new thread and ask for new measurements...hows that sound?

Re: Lowering Springs

Totally agree, Scott...I've read more posts on springs than I ever should have, and the only consistent data is that bwoodys give 3"!

I think we should add photos and measurements from well to wheel-center to your suspension thread.

This may be an issue for sure...but a 1.5" drop should be 1.5", no matter where you start from.

Re: Lowering Springs

Re: Lowering Springs

doesn't the data also vary a lot of what kind of shocks people are running as well combined with vehicle weight ??? spare tire no spare tire etc ...
