AFE Intake CAI 5.7

Hello All,
I just installed a AFE Intake CAI, It was a pretty easy install. I also installed a Jet 180 Tsat. The Afe is alot louder than the airaid mit tube I had before. The performance feels great but the lower tsat may help with that. The afe intake is 4 inch tube so alot more air is coming into the engine. Here are some pics.

Sweet man. to many damn intakes. i think we need to take Airraid, bwoody and AFE and put them side by side and see some numbers from a stock engine

I know a lot of people are choosing the AFE over the BWoody now!

I love this thing it so mean sounding. I got a dashhawk and the iat is about 5 degrees warmer than outside moving at over 70 plus.

Now I'm confuzzzzzzed! Which should I get? Bwoody 4" or AFE 4"???? I like both, but I want the most performance out of it.

Well the AFE puts alot of air into the intake. The AFE is alot cheaper cost I got mine on amazon for 250 free shipping. I did not get the bwoody because I did not like the metal tube and taking out the air box and having to cut my air intake sensor wire make it fit in the tube, and I was scared with the filter so low that water would get sucked into the intake and it cost alot more unless you found one in the for sale section.

Get a AFE

For what it is worth, the IAT on my dashhawk is never more than 5deg over the AAT when the Jeep is moving. It will steadily rise at a stop light but as long as I am moving, they are usually within a deg or two of each other. That's with the Mopar intake and it's metal tube.

Can't imagine how any other intake could claim to place colder air into the intake while moving. Might be an issue for those who run the 1/4 mile and need to wait for a turn on the start line.

I think by the location of where its sucking the air in from! LOL

I see what you are saying though and that begins the whole CAI vs HAI debate!
