Need Help 99 Jeep Cherokee

my 99 jeep cherokee keeps chugging and dying. came to a stop sign and it just died and could not restart. I've replaced speed sensor, pick up coil, and coil. rpm's all over the place but no power. on the freeway i will floor it and not go anywhere. Any ideas would be appreciated!

can you explain what the car does when you try to start it, does the engine turn at all? does it make clicking sounds? anything off beat? was it puttering before it stopped?

it does sound like a pick up coil though..
engine stalling will happen to the jeepwhen it warms up with rough idling(puttering) will be the first indication that a stall is about to happen to you... if stalled- the jeep wont start again until the engine has completely cooled down...

but you said you changed it...hmmmm

It starts,it dont make any clicking sonds, nothing off beat, but sometimes when i start it the RPMs reaves high around 3thou.Then drops down a little under 1thou or it will die.when i m driving it will die when i let off the gas around a corner or when i stop but it always starts right back up.

throttle plate perhaps? it tends to get filthy on older jeeps.

you can clean this up yourself, very easy to do. go pick some cleaner up and give it a shot. if anyting it will help this cause/situation.
open up that throttle and spray that sucker and wipe it down with a rag.

No Check Engine Light on? Did you check for any fault codes stored? (ignition on/off 3 times and leave it on after the third time. It will show DONE in the odometer, or any fault code)

When your throttle body is internally dirty, and especially the idle air passage, you will get a rough idle, but it normally won't have so much influence on the above idle speeds. Many things could be wrong here. Is the regular maintenance performed as per jeep specifications?
