More carbon fibre vinyl
Hey guys and gals. Having done the rear step cover, A pillars and steering wheel, I've finally ventured into getting the rest of the interior done. I'm now thinking of removing the vinyl from the a pillars and using alcantara (or something similar) on them instead.

Obviously, not finished yet, still got the rest to do, but I'm off to a good start. I am also considering carpeting the dash, arm rest console etc. Any one here done carpeting before? Any tips? I work in the carpet industry, but obviously this type of thing is a bit different.

Thanks guys:)

Oh. Does anyone know if I can get custom knobs for my Jeep? I've seen some of the Billet ones used in srt8's and would love some for mine.

Wow that looks awesome. Did you pop off the radio bezel and interior bezel to wrap the peices or did you install on the spot?

Thanks Kyle:D

^Chuck. I took the bezel out, got a much better finish, plus it makes it A LOT easier. Pops out easy enough. Done the ashtray area late last night, here's some more pics...

This is the rear of the unit, only five connectors to unplug, real simple

Finished :D...

Just the passenger dash trim (which is bolted onto a big chuck of metal and requires the dash to be stripped, so an on site installation) and the door trims left to do. Plus the rest of the exterior parts I'd planned to do.

and how are finding the dinoc around the edges and such?

Re: More carbon fibre vinyl
It's pretty good Rob. It's the first time I've used anything like this and I'm finding it fairly easy. I've found I need to get some heat on it and really stretch it around corners to get a nice flush finish, otherwise I end up with folds and scrunched up bits. There are certain bits that could be better, but that's more down to my skills with a scalpel:lol:.

The stuff I've used on the exterior is holding up fine too. Still got a bit more to do on the outside, tailgate hinges. I'm also thinking about doing the trim at the bottom of the windows and perhaps the peice that's next to the trunk side window (I've no idea what you call it).

Gonna wait until I've tinted my windows first, should get that done in the next two weeks.

Looking really good SC!

I ordered a bunch of the black CF vinyl about a week ago to cover the hideous wood trim in my 07' WK. Picked up a little in orange too for the Mustang. These pics have really got me fired up and I can't wait for the big brown truck to arrive this week!
