No power over 2000rpm
 
Hey guys can anyone help with this .Engine warning light came on and there is no throthle when you put your foot down, it will still cruise 100k but no acceleration .First code was read as variable air maifold intake something.Was reset and sent back now on again this time the read is a swirl motor $1800 bucks to replace in 2 wks from Sinapore.
Do these guys really know the problem. 170,000km 3.0 cdr 05 Grand Ch

Just do searches for swirl motor, swirl system, crank case vent, CCV filter, CCV Mod, elephant hose mod, Provent, Racor, oil catch can, and you'll find all the info you need. This is a very common problem with these engines. Look thru other threads here and other forums and you'll learn all you need to know.

In a very, very short explanation, the issue is that oily crank case vapors that are recirculated into the engine foul up the swirl system. The swirl system is what helps aid/control combustion inside the cylinders.

Thanks for the heads up,it suprises me this can be a common problem with a EU motor,have not had these problems with Jap Desiels over the years
