Bwoody 4"
I know theres really not many WK2's floating around yet for testing and such, but has anyone had luck trying to fit the 5.7 2010 Bwoody intake onthe 2011? Or anyword on a 2011 release of the 4" CAI? I e-mailed bwoody but haven't heard back yet.. I also am curious about Catback systems for the dual pipe hemi, nothing out there yet, I know its soon, but who knows I think demand could be there, especially being a dual tip already.

Re: Bwoody 4"
It wont work because the intake is pointed on the drivers side, not the passengers side.

Although Bwoody does make an intake for a 5.7/6.1 Charger and they have the intake on the drivers side. Hmmmmm....

But the point to mount it would prob be different and you wouldnt be able to secure the intake.

Re: Bwoody 4"
yea the only real problem I see is the bolt up would be more then likely be different as you mentioned.

Are you looking for performance gains, or just increased sound levels? Catbacks won't give a performance gain that is noticeable.

Re: Bwoody 4"
The exhaust would be more just for sound... As you mention Jim the performance gain isn't significant from an exhaust system else you change headers etc, the stuff which is restricting the air flow. But a catback goes open the pipes a little for a very small modest performance/MPG gain. Although the stock isn't to shabby, a different muffler alone would change the tone.

The CAI seems to give a modest performance/MPG gain however.

The diablosport predator, once released for the 2011 would be the most beneficial for one looking to gain performance, then a tune I suppose, I imagine even the 2010 Predator would work for the 2011, its the same 5.7l hemi, but I'd wait to be safe.

Re: Bwoody 4"
The reason I posted before is that most catbacks are the same diameter piping as stock, so there's no gain there except for the muffler they substitute. High flow cats help, but my experience is that the gains are to be made with custom exhausts, and adding in a CAI to the mix. I think it will take some time before any manufacturer is geared up for these new models.

Re: Bwoody 4"
Yea I agree, sometimes it takes a while to get parts fitted and released to the public. Although I could see some CAI being released sooner then later because it doesn't seem to be a drastic change its just needs to have a new mounting spot I believe. Time will tell... I still have to get the Jeep first.. Dang order wait times..

Yea I remember reading about the CAI you guys are having made for the 4.7 I think it was.. Although Maryland I would have to assume from Long Island is a good 5 hours ride minimum.
