Changing the belt

Hey guys! Anyone know if the serpentine belt for a 4.7L HO is the same as the belt for the 4.7L non-HO? It's an 04 WJ Limited...thanks!

No mention of it being any different on wjjeeps, can't think why it would be different

Yeah, me niether...everywhere I looked there were no offerings specifically for the HO. I want to get a Goodyear Gatorback for it and am having a hard time locating one. The hunt continues....

Well...according to Summit Racing, I need the 4060868. We'll see...I have one on hold and need to go pick it up.

Re: Changing the belt

I had been using the G/Y Gatorback belts for years with no problems. But the last time I went to Auto Zone to get one they said they no longer carry them.

So I went to a local parts place and the counterman told me they have stopped selling the Goodyear belts as well. He said it was because too many people have been complaining about squealing and noise.

So rather than drive all over town looking for one, I just bought the Dayco.

But that is the first I had heard about noise from the Goodyear belts.

I have used them on each of my vehicles every 50k miles for at least the last 7 to 10 years now and have never had even a hint of problems.
