exhaust install ?'s

My gibson catback (5.7l) comes in Wednesday and I'm wondering if I could install it myself. What kind of tools would I need? How long would it take?

Also, I haven't been able to get in touch with any muffler shops in town so what would a shop generally charge to install it?

TIA,

Lee

You need a socket to take off the old muffler, pretty sure its a 17mm. There are 2 bolts... Then you need a socket and a wrench for the new one.

I had to use a sawzall because I couldnt drop the whole exhaust in one piece, since it wasnt on a lift. Also I obviously used a jack and jackstands.

It took me about an hour... Pretty simple... they bolt right up. Use some WD40 to get the rubber hangers out of there.

yep...most Ive had used collars at the joints. The hardest part will be getting the stock one off. Then just do piece by piece. Dont tighten all the collars till you have it all aligned perfectly.
