Hella tempting.. fastman tb

I search and there are tons of 4.7 reviews, a few 6.1 reviews but no 5.7 specific reviews on dan's tb work.

I'm five minutes away from pulling the trigger, just wondering if anyone has any experience with the product/company? Thanks!

Looks like a great deal that's hard to pass up. Can anyone confirm MPG gains, too?

Dan does do nice work. He knows what he's doing.

The Hemi does respond well to a larger TB. I'm hoping we will be on the dyno with a CNC'd 84mm FRP Hemi TB by the end of this month. Mileage is dependent on the user's driving style. I've only sold a few Hemi TBs (old 87mm taper-ported version), I dont recall if anyone said anything about mileage.

Other folks with the 3.7s and 4.7s have noted mileage improvements.

But the site recommends the 80mm job as opposed to the 84mm job.. a) I only have bolt on mods and b) the 80mm job is $100 cheaper :)

True. Yousmellfunny has I think a 85mm. Would 5mm make a difference? I'm sure 80mm's enough! I think it will be a nice improvement!

Yep.. I'm going to buy a new core in case I have warranty issues... :worried:

5mm makes a huge difference especially with a nice engine like the 5.7

The stock TB is 80mm.

We ran a test today, on a CAI, Catback, & tuned 6.1; a stock TB vs a Modern Muscle ported one. Lost 8hp and 7ft/lbs, despite cooler temps and 2.5 degrees less knock.

So you're saying "no" to a TB??

You'd need a tune or get a diablo tuner or something in that nature to make sure of the more air.

Re: Hella tempting.. fastman tb

I have a Diablo canned tune.. I've been running the 87 tune lately b/c the 91 tune kept throwing a code (o2 sensor). It's not the gas I run Shell, 76 or Chevron all the time.
