Rear Door Lock not working?

Anyone had this issue yet? My drivers side rear door will not lock / unlock with the keyfob, or the inside switches. It will work every now and then, but for the most part it doesn't we have to unlock it from inside manually, and make sure it's locked when leaving the jeep.

Wondering if it's an easy fix, or should I be making a phone call to the dealer in the morning to use that extended warranty! lol

pull the door panel off(super easy) and see if the actuator is loose or come off the door lock rod. very easy fix

Re: Rear Door Lock not working?

Hi all, I've been compulsively reading all of the awesome posts on this site for weeks, and finally posting my first question.

I am having this same issue with the rear driver's side door lock not working (I have an 06' WK 3.7), although mine never works unlike the OP who said his works sometimes. I removed the door panel, and can tell that the white piece that operates the lock does not make a sound or move when I when I hit the unlock button as it does on my passenger side rear door. Does anyone know what this issue is and if it is an easy fix and what part(s) if any need replaced?

Thanks in advance. I'll be posting my first and upcoming mods here shortly.

Re: Rear Door Lock not working?

I've done a bit more tinkering and I'm guessing that it is either the read door latch assembly or the wiring harness. I guess I will test the wiring harness first before I try to locate a rear door latch. Where would be the bets place to locate a rear door latch in Pittsburgh, PA? I tried eBay, but the only one listed for a WK is for the passenger side.

Any other suggestions for this problem??

Thanks!
