Undecided, Light Graystone Pearlcoat
I know I haven't done much posting since I joined but I finally got some (crappy cell pics) yesterday and so I'm posting up a thread to hopefully 'chronicle' my Jeep and the changes I'll eventually do.

I knew the sun was a little strong but it was at the end of my lunch hour and I had to get inside soon.

She's dirty, needs a bath pretty bad. I took her to the stealer this morning so she'll get a bath there. They're just finishing up the list of things we made them correct when we bought it. Like the rusted out lifter arms on the rear glass and some horrid paint, peeling in one spot.

Re: Undecided, Light Graystone Pearlcoat
Glad people like it! haha... the color is still growing on me.

I've been lurking in the shadows for about two weeks now I think, don't feel like checking my join date, haha.

Well I started out by wanting to raise it, ~2" but my wife veto'd that unless I get a brush guard, which I really don't want. Had I gone that route I would have put a 4xguard on the front at least and some bigger and more aggressive tires.

Regardless of which direction (street vs offroad) I'll be getting a CAI and exhaust. Luckily my wife is completely on-board with a mean sounding HEMI so I won't have to 'fight' on that one. The Trufiber hood is SO sick and if it weren't for the price tag I'd have it sooner than later!

You can barely see it, but in the pics the slats behind the chrome grille are busted in two spots. I'm going to pop them all out and put a mesh behind it, the plan is to do all that myself from the awesome guides people have posted on here.

Replacing the bulbs on the center stack with Blue LEDs, wife likes blue and that whole part about the lights on the shifter having a blue-ish plastic piece. This is another thing I'll be doing myself, gotta use what I learned in college, right? haha

I've been trying to decide what accent color would work with the Light Graystone. I don't really like the chrome and I've been pondering using black but I'm not positive it would work.

Re: Undecided, Light Graystone Pearlcoat
I'm quickly learning what y'all say... the changes never stop! Today I've been reading about the LED Halos, HIDs and projectors on here... gah! I want them all! lol

The color, I was debating the accent color to go with LGP, not changing the whole Jeep's color, haha. Like color match the (now chrome) grille and then black mesh behind it instead of the slats. Then the door trim black too, which is chrome right now.

Good luck with the is a thread I did, may help!

As for intake, I went from an AIRAID to a 4" BWoody...both were great intakes and would highly recommend either (AIRIAD for worse weather conditions)...also love my Borla - no reso, no drone @ 80mph+ and she opens up nicely at WOT. Not nearly as loud as the MBRP, Dynomax and Magnaflow.

It never stops...seriously!!!!!

Re: Undecided, Light Graystone Pearlcoat
I called the stealer this morning and they hadn't done a single thing to it yet, 24 hours and nothing! My wife needed it today for the cargo space so I took the courtesy car in and talked to them about it. The only type of courtesy car they have is a dodge avenger so I was out of luck. They were just unpacking the struts they ordered yesterday (they knew they were replacing them over a month ago!) so they got those installed "real quick" and we'll have to reschedule the paint touch-ups.

I have to say I like the front-level staff their, but the middle management is such a PITA! Their management (2nd level managers) though has been awesome.

This is all on their dime since it's stuff they agreed to before we bought the Jeep.

Ordered a batch of blue LEDs from the vendor Timmy and Hamze used on ebay. Going to do the heater controls and other various buttons on the dash.

Re: Undecided, Light Graystone Pearlcoat
I found the bulbs to be a little different on mine than the other guides so I figured I'd post them up for others to see. It's from a 2007, so that's where the difference comes from I think.
Here are two pics of the bulbs that were already in it.

And here are some pics of them lit up during the day.

I ran out of time to do the others, as you can see it's just the EVIC stuff I did (C/T, Reset, Step and Menu). I hope to get back into them tonight, but we'll see... reading the lx forums I think it was, they say you should be able to turn all the dials to the left and pull them off, thought I tried that last night, oh well.

I was stupid and didn't get any pictures of the LEDs once I got them in there, but I did have to trim the legs down quite a bit because they were too tall.

I started on the hvac portion but couldn't get it open. From what I could see though I might have to use SMT LEDs because of the space, plus there's a little bit of a hot spot on the ones I already did... we'll see if it bugs me enough to go back and do those as SMT too.
