Re: gas tank problem in cherokee?

I have been in two accidents, both of them the situation being I was hit from behind. The second one I was hit pretty hard and the trailer hitch actually made an indent on the gas tank. I had the hitch removed fearing that this same situation would happen again. Now I'm starting to think if that was a good idea at all...

This is also the second time that something has come up for starting fires in these cars lol. The first time was about a year after I bought the truck and I had to get the seat warmers replaced because there was a recall put out saying that the original ones started fires.
