I can buy here in brazil aft shock absorbers for the WJ from Monroe from the types Sensatrac or Reflex. Other brands are available, but they are just too expensive. Is the Reflex much better than the Sensatrac, or are they not worth the extra money?
Re: Shock absorbers
I have don't know about the Sensatrac shocks, but I have been using the Reflex ones for years on two different WJs.
I have been happy with them, I don't really do a whole lot of off road driving and my Jeep is not lifted. Mostly highway driving.
The ride is noticeably more firm than the factory shocks, Jeep will hold the road better with out as much body roll and nose diving when braking.
They tend to last about 200k miles (for me) then need to be replaced.
In my opinion they (Reflex) are just fine for the money.
When you replace the rear shocks, you might consider picking up a set of M12-1.75x70 Class 8.8 bolts to replace the factory shock bolts. They seem to fit the aftermarket shocks a little better to reduce the chance of rattling.
