SRT Question

(>mods feel free to move this<)

ok i was watching a few youtube vids of ZJs racing this that an the other... then a first gen grand race an SRT8 Grand Cherokee.. now what was rly awesome was that in one vid the SRT had a cam mounted so you could see the gauges.. it had a (factory looking) screen where i am assuming the PRNDL would be (under the tach) but this screen showed engine temp, battery, rpm, and speed all in a lil digital display..

another vid showed an SRT dash where under the speedomter it had a digital readout (again like it came from Jeep) 1/4 mile E.T., 0-60 time.. best 0-60... he pushed a button and it switched from dif screens.. sorta like the old G-Tech things...

my question is, did this come factory or did someone mod the hell outta the dash???? and PICS PLZ if others have done this..

Re: SRT Question

Top one is a DashHawk probably.

Thats the "Performance Pages" on the second one, which is stock on 09-10 SRTs.

Re: SRT Question

Yep. They come on all the recent SRTs. Started on the LX's in 07 with just the 0-60, in 08 they added on the other stuff, and put it on the Caliber too. Then in 09 the Jeeps finally got it along with the Challengers.

The Dashhawk can be added to any vehicle with a CAN(control area network) bus system, generally from 06-up. You can put it where ever you want. Some people put it in the gauge cluster, some on top of the dash (like mine), some in the A-pillar.

Not a good pic, but there it is, on the dash to the right of the wheel.

Re: SRT Question

oh.. this wasnt a dashhawk.. it was integrated into the cluster.. it was a digital readout.. it was pretty much the same as the Performance Pages thing but didnt show the 0-60, Gs, or best time... if i can find the link ill post it so you can see it..

Re: SRT Question

this isnt the Jeep SRT but a Charger SRT... this dash looked exactly the same except the color... this one shows everything the Jeep did.. did these come factory or was it something aftermarket for all SRTs??

Re: SRT Question

The one in the vid is the stock Performance pages. The LXs also have an "Easter Egg" in the EVIC that can show other info. I'm not aware of it being available on the Jeeps.

Maybe the other one is the Mopar Ecometer? http://www.wkjeeps.com/ecometer.htm
