Help me buy an Overland

Jeeps website is pretty confusing and it seems as if some options aren't available yet. What I want is an almost fully loaded Overland, don't need any towing capabilities though. I would like a V6 version with the 20" wheels, but I'm only seeing 18" available on the site.

Any suggestions for when I go to the dealer? I have a feeling the dealer will only be able to get me what I'm able to choose on the site. Has anyone purchased what i'm talking about?

Standard V6 4X4 Overland will come with a tow hitch and 20" tires. Jeep web site is not kept up to date. Talk to your dealer about what you need and he can get you better information.

Basically I want the 20" wheels and Quadra Lift is something that might be fun to play with but not a deal breaker. If I go in there and tell them I want a fully loaded Overland, minus any tow hitch (I will never use it) ,I'm wondering what I'll get. The dealers here seem to rely on the website and don't know anything at all especially when compared to people on this forum =)

The Overland is "Loaded" even if you don't add any other options, and there are really not a lot of options that can be added to an Overland. You can add a hemi engine, and some paint colors cost $200 more, or you could add a rear seat DVD player. The rear seat DVD player if you add it will reduce the size of your sun roof by half or more. You can opt for the 730N media center, but in my opinion that is really not an upgrade. I think that the standard Overland 430N RHB media center is a better unit.

I did not add any options to the V6 4X4 Overland that I ordered.

IMHO I would go for the V8 this coming from a V6 user ofcourse LOL

and your dealer should be able to give you better options a lot of people have been mentioning that the website is a bit messy to deal with

The option list for an Overland will get more extensive about the change of the year with adding all those electronic pieces such as Adaptive Cruise, etc.

Re: Help me buy an Overland

I'm coming from a 2007 Lexus GS350 which takes premium gas. It costs me about $50 to fill the tank. I'm having a baby soon, so I'm trading this car in for an Overland so I can get a stroller back there (lol)

The reason I'm not going V8 is premium gas. When the gas prices go back up again it will be ridiculous. I test drove the V6 and it seemed fine to me. I dont see myself racing with a baby in the car and I dont have anything to tow.

I guess I should wait it out till December? Will those options be added and the price will remain the same?

The Hemi doesn't specify premium, just 89 octane mid grade.

Also, looking at this page: http://www.jeepgarage.org/f73/jeepgarage-exclusive-latest-information-and-updates-on-the-wk2-grand-cherokee-4482.html

What are the 20" wheels that are delayed till November? And what is Mopar groups? Confusing :(

The November available 20" wheels are the clad wheels like the Ram truck has. Very high luster chrome covers.

this just coming from my experience with the WK ... the 3.7L I currently own gets the same MPG as the HEMI with MDS when driven carefully which I assume you would since you do have a baby on the way, and about the premium gas I don't think they require that maybe the 5.7 guys can chime in here
