quick coolant question.
hey guys, im just wondering if this is normal behavior. my coolant gauge can shift from 205f to over 215 close to 220 especially on hot days in traffic with no ac. is this normal behavior. ive talked to my dealership specialist and he says the srts coolant gauge is a very narrow one and does show movement. he says its normal behavior and that the hemis run hotter than most other engines, which i already know. back in april my rad hose blew off and my jeep overheated a bit. i cant remember if it did this before that, but i dont think it did. mabe i should just get the 180 t stat and call it a day. help me out.
Re: quick coolant question.
the stock tstat could be doing weird things.
I believe on the 6.1...if you get a 180 tsat...you might want a stant locking radiator cap as well.
