There are only two transfer cases, one with low range and one without.

As I mentioned above there are 3 - see post # 2 above. One without low range - QT I, 2 with low range: QT II and QD II

There are only two, QDII uses the same transfer case as QTII with the addition electronic limited slip differential in the rear differential.

lol.

OK so when I go to work Tuesday, I'll be sure to look for those 3 transfer cases you mention. I'll let you know what I find. :)

schmoe, as usual, instead of trying to show why you are incorrect Marlon likes to make sure he KNOWS you are wrong then exploit that for a while and then maybe antagonize you with it for a spell.......

what he is trying to point out to you is that while there may be 3 4-wheel drive systems or options, these 3 systems utilize 2 transfer cases; one with and one without lo-range. this is the same as the WK. 3 systems using 2 transfer cases and other things to create the package.

hope that helps joe.

I guess you can look at it that way. I should have used "4-wheel drive systems" instead of "transfer cases". I don't know where Marlon works :)

Tis in my signature. :) Well figured that's a halfway decent way to say "I work for Chrysler, building you guys's Jeeps, right, the first time"

But yes as of right now there are three 4WD systems.

... and as of right now, two transfer cases.
