Kids toast parents late model Cherokee
I was combining late yesterday, when I noticed a huge cloud of black smoke and smelled burning plastic and rubber off in the distance. I was not near a vehicle to go and check it out, but my neighbor was the second person to arrive on the scene. Though he could not tell the exact year as the jeep was in flames, he thought it was a late model. Two kids(his words) had borrowed their parents jeep to go camping. About 2/3 the way up a 300 meter hill on the highway, the vehicle stopped. They got out and looked under it and noticed burning oil dropping from the transmission. They quickly got their camping gear out before it went up in flames. There is a 30ft. diameter burned black spot on the highway. Luckily even though the fire burned up to about 15 feet from one of our soybeans fields, things are still green enough that we did not have a field fire. When my overland finally gets here, it may be awhile before I lend it out. A freak incident I am sure, but I did add fire extinguisher to the list of added items for my overland. I will post any additional info on the year etc if it becomes available.

If you get one picture of it from any angle we'll be able to identify it :)
