Most of the guys i have wheeled with (ZJ-WJ's) swear by claytons. The biggest setup i have seen up close was a 5.5'' with 33's thought and the articulation was insane! Are you planning on 35'' or 37'' tires?

bfgoodrich A/T ko 37" wheels maybe 38s if i can get the at a resonable price

Re: Lift kit

Do you have the dana 30 up front? not sure how well those axles will hold, if you will do mild wheeling, you should be somewhat fine but mud pits and rocks, It will break the axle shafts and bend the axle tubes! Will you be upgrading anything else besides the suspension?

Redrocker should give you some good pointers since he had a ZJ before the WK.

probly the axels get dana 60s maybe lookin into those but most work at the start will be saftey of gas milage. first brake kit then tuner chip then sparkplugs then cams and lifters exhaust and all that jazz. basically it will become the most jacked jeep ever. makin it a preformance offroader

Re: Lift kit

ok #1: Claytons is the cream of the crop, if you can afford it, USE IT.
#2: skyCRAPPER has a name like that for a reason, get some rancho or nicer shocks
#3 where the balls are you getting all this money for huge engine mods and offroad mods? haha didnt you say this is your FIRST car? lol if you were near me in MD, i would totally help you with the installs.

Re: Lift kit

37" BFG ATs?

Why don't you get something more aggressive? the ATs are not very good.

Anyway...like was stated above, the Skyjacker shocks flat out suck. Bilsteins. Since you're gonna be on 37s, you may as well go balls-out.

young-gun 09-14-2010 09:15 PM

i am looking into the bilstien 6100 series and what would you suggest for a tire. remember i live in new-england and dont want shit ride quality on the road

Re: Lift kit

You want 37s, you don't have a choice :p

Go with BFG MT KM2s or Wrangler MT/Rs; no point in buying anything less. They won't ride any worse or make any significant amount more noise than the ATs. And you'll probably want to drop that lift height down a couple inches and run 35s MAX.
