will your wk2 leave the tarmac?

Just curious to see how many wk2 owners (or would be owners) plan to take their wk2 off-road?

Already had mine 20 miles down a washed out forrest road in Superior National Forest in Northeastern Minnesota. That includes some of the wider trails leading off the main one. I have no issues taking it off road. I wheeled my stock XJ and my built TJ for years. I'm very comfortable and familiar with Jeep capabilities. I'm just not ready to put any trail striping on my brand new 40k vehical

I'll probably look to do some light trail driving. I don't know when or where, but at some point I'll want to at least begin investigating what it will do once the pavement ends, but I just don't see me doing anything hardcore for a long time.

My Jeeps are taken "off road" by cruising around construction sites, sometimes with clients in the vehicle. The capability of these vehicles to plow through just about anything, while allowing a client to feel that they are in mid luxury environment is quite nice.

The only time I ever took my old ZJ (5.2 Ltd with QD II) off road was on the dry beach in Hamptons that didn't look anywhere near difficult. I got stuck almost immediately but got out with friend pushing me from behind. I think I was doing it wrong (as Jalopnik would have said) :D

Mine will be firmly planted on hard surfaces....UNLESS....my wifes has to see a patient on a gravel road. Which is very rare and her Lexus IS handles just fine now.....LOL

Hell no. I don't want to risk scratching up the paint. Will be fun in the snow I guess though

Climbed a mountain on a road that was better suited to quad runners when the odometer had 800 miles on it.
