RER Navigation problems entering addresses

I have a 10 Grand Cherokee Limited with an RER navigation unit. Everytime I try to enter an address it always goes back to Michigan. Anyone else have a problem with this?

You may want to look at the default state. If you want a different one, look at the menu and enter the state you want. Make it the default state. Then it should pick up the address you are looking for.

Found the option today finally. Now anyway to change the voice of the navi lady?

okay, so i'm having this exact same problem and can't seem to find where to change my default state and everything. The system is really clunky.

While we're on the topic, i have an 09 Overland that came with the Navi and everything. I assume it's an RER system? Also, are there any software updates i should be aware of to download and burn onto a disk?

no one? To be honest, the manual doesn't really explain anything at all. If anyone knows of an online manual for the stock 09 navi, i'd appreciate.

thank you guys, the link for the manual is so key. Gonna have to print it out and read through. That part for the software update that says if it fails you'll have to bring it to the dealer is kind of scary lol.

When i download updates, i try to get them ISO format. then just burn it with any DVD burner at a low speed (4x) and let it verify.

if you do that, you shouldn't have any problems updating:)

Re: RER Navigation problems entering addresses

i'm assuming if i download MyGIG Software Upgrade Version 2.402 (314 MB) then i dont need previous versions? I dont have any burning tool so i guess i could just use windows media player to burn or should i browse for something more compatible?

The last thing i want to do is brick my system since it's a pain in the ass.
