Oil drain plug

What size is it for the 3.7L engines?

In a week or so I have to do it on mine and dont want to stop in the middle of it to buy a new socket so I'm getting it out of the way now.

Maybe a 14mm. Get under there tomorrow and check....

The hemi is a 13mm, would figure it may be the same. Might be a great time to invest in a small set of sockets or wrenches to keep in the Jeep.

I'll check when I get my Jeep back from the body shop.

When I picked up my oil filter I asked one of the guys. They told me to use a 13mm 6 point hex. I guess I'll pick that up on Tuesday when I change the oil.

Re: Oil drain plug

you don't want to use a 12 point socket. the heat from the oil pan sometimes causes the drain plug to tighten more (seize up). a 6 point prevents the socket from slipping. it's good to have a socket set with metric up to 20 mm.
