That interesting I didnt realize they were small, or maybe my last car was just big. But my Volvo S60 had a 21.9 gallon tank.. Its going to be interesting going from a inline Turbo 2.4 5 cylinder to a V8 with the same size gas tank and worse gas mileage.. Better not seem like I am there all the time filling up the new Wk2! lol
Edit-- I just read the WK2 is a 24.x fuel tank, so a little bigger. Probably how they are able to advertise the v6 can go 400 miles on one tank.. You make it bigger. lmao
Same here, once I drove for like 4 miles after the evic said 0 miles to go, and I filled up, and it was only 19 gallons, I'm guessing the rest is reserve...
So is my 08's gas tank the same size as Nate's? 21.1 gallons? I rarely get more than 18-19 gallons on a fill-up...next time I am going to push it to the limit
I never did the research my good friend, but from what I was told by tech is that since the fuel lines use pressure to get the fuel from the tank to the cylinders is that when running on fumes you risk a chance of hurting the injectors by pumping air into it or some shit along those lines lololol
I think some say to keep ur tank always above 1/4th just to be on the safe side again this is just stuff I hear people say
From fumes to clicking off and still less than 60 bucks......ME=jealous. Typical "fill" for me (needle on E but not nearing fumes and going to full but not automatically clicking off) is 65 bucks. Did the math and filling my tank at current prices would cost me $77.60 ($75.27 US$)
