Hey guys, i need new tires, pretty bad, i was wondering if u guys could help. i have the 235/65/17s on now, but i was thinking of going 255/65/17...could i do this without trimming, or should i go smaller?? also, what is a good brand, or a good tire i should use, keep in mind i have RWD, so im not gonna be going off road, but i want something with an aggressive looking tread...thanks guys!

Oh boy I did some extensive research when I was looking at getting new tires ended up getting new rims lol

Well from what I investigated you can't go wrong with General Grabbers they have amazing customer reviews and are relatively cheaper than the other brands

Also use the tire size calculator to see if it's within %

I would definitely go with 255 or something of that value cuz the 235's just look too wimpy

I have 245's. I like them. The previous owner bought them before he sold it to me. THey had like 500 miles on them. Lol He got them from Costco. They are BFGoodrich

on my WJ I have Toyo Open Country A/T's. they're incredible. I will be buying them soon for my WK and selling my BFG's. last winter with roughly 25k on them they still looked brand new, and I was driving around in the worst of our Wisconsin storms in 2wd because I didn't even need the 4. :) they were about $110 a piece for 245/65r16's. I highly recommend them.

I'm def gonna go with at least 245s, but will I have to trim anything?? I don't want them to rub, and I was looking At the general grabbers, Im probably gonna get those

Re: Need new tires

my Jeep has stock 245 tires... so I can't imagine you would have to trim for those. I can't speak for 255's however.
