Im going to be adding auto headlights to my Laredo(assuming the wiring is there), I found the auto headlight stalk, i just need the sun sensor that goes on the dash. Does anybody know where I can find one? Thanks

While we are on the subject, how do I make mine work? In the auto position, the headlights dont light up and the dash lights are off. I just recently got the Jeep. I also tried to set the auto headlights to on in the menu with no luck.

FYI to anyone wanting to add auto headlights.. yes the wiring is in place for the auto headlights, you just pop off the round cover on the dash and get a coat hanger to fish the wire out, then plug in the the sun sensor and snap it down, then install the stalk. I'm waiting on the auto headlight stalk and sun sensor and when I get them installed ill see if they work.

Not to be obvious, but it does have to be pretty dark before the lights will come on. My lights also come on with wipers on. That's a setting in the EVIC for the headlamps w/rainsense.

Thanks for the heads up, but I have tried it many times even at midnight. As soon as I switch it to auto, all the lights go out just like I turned them off.

Re: Looking to find sun sensor for auto headlights

part numbers are pretty much useless. your local dealer is gonna look them up anyway and all the good online sites have you search by name not number......

THIS IS 2009, theey dont load the 2010..........caveat emptor.

GC4x4,

I spent about an hour this afternoon looking for the wiring for the sun sensor in my dash, but I was unable to find the wiring. All I can see when I look down the hole for the sun sensor is a plastic piece and some holes on both sides that I can't find any wires in with a coat hanger fish line. Where did you find your wires? Thanks for the assistance.

Hi

Have you managed to find the wire for the sensor?

If the wire is not there can it be connected and where?
