New WK2 Overland brought home...

And no, it wasn't the one I ordered. It's still in Detroit, not likely to show for another couple weeks (at least). I did some inventory searching, and found this one out in Lincoln, IL (a small town I know well). It wasn't spoken for, so the wife and I made the 150 mile trip up.

This one has the V-6, is black with a black interior, and has the 730N (not the 430N).

And because we all know you want them...

Initial impressions:

This thing automates stuff I never knew could be automated. It's incredibly comfortable, and I'm happy with the V-6. If you're used to something with a good power to weight ratio, the Hemi might be recommended, but if you're coming from something that was so-so in acceleration, the Pentastar will feel fast enough. The ride is great, it tracks well, and feels solid.

The 730N really is neat- I didn't think the voice command would be as cool as it is.

I'm still getting used to it, but I think we like this one more than we would have the one we ordered... we weren't sure if we would like the black on black, but it really does look great, and with the ventilated seats, the summer heat is a nonissue.

Thanks, I'm really pleased with how it looks. I'm thinking I may need the chrome fog light bezels now. I'm not a huge chrome guy, but on this thing, some chrome looks fantastic.

Get the Chrome turn signal bulb. It lights up amber so it's totally legal just it's painted chrome so it blends in with your headlight housing... Here's an ebay link and a pic of it on my jeep..

Only $8.25 shipped!!!

Those are the best looking wheels out of the rest of the bunch. I have the Laredo V6 and wish I had those wheels. Your Jeep looks like it sits lower then mine even with your bigger 20" wheels and lower profile tires. What tire and wheel size do you have? Is it 245-65-20? Mine are 245-70-17 and I might change my tires to 245-65-17 or 235-65-17. I'm wondering if 235's will be too narrow looking.

I'm planning on getting the fog light bezels as well. I also really want the chrome grill insert, but don't think it's available yet...here's a great pic with those options: http://wk2jeeps.com/2011/2011_gc_092.jpg
