P 0325 error
I have 2004 JGC overland 4.7 HO that has a fault code P 0325 showing . The Jeep runs fine just wanted to know if I should be concerned about this code . Says it is Knock sensor Circuir bank 1.
Re: P 0325 error
Hi, well first off on those High Output Jeep Engines, it has two knock sensors, one for each bank of cylinders, bank 1, and 2. Because it is probably gone, it will no longer sense any knock in that cylinder bank, so it will no longer retard the timing for that set of cylinder banks, it isn't a expensive part, about 55 bucks plus tax at my dealership.
And the job itself isn't that hard, disconnect the double wire connector, remove the intake manifold, unbolt the sensor that isn't working, note that their may be a foam there, thats straight from manufacturing so do not use any sealant and remove your sensor and put it back together.
So unless you want some serious knock in the engine, replace it.
