Start of build to off the line...

I've been looking around in the posts... and I'm hoping that someone with the inside scoop might have an answer to this.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know how long it takes the vehicle to actually be built? Meaning, once the true build process starts (Leaves D1 Status), how long does it take before the Jeep rolls off the line (I Status)?

It would be really interesting to know how many WK2s are on the assembly line at any given time.

I'm sure this video has been posted many times, but I thought I'd share...

I dunno the exact number, but if I had to guess, a little under two days, one rolls through my workstation every 45 seconds.

Which part of the assembly are you responsible for? It will be cool to look at and know the guy who put it together.

(and have you seen my Jeep go down the line? Green Overland V8 OR II)

I don't know if he has said anything lately, but a while back he was working on the suspension components. He has said he's seen some member vehicles come through (and has put hands on them), but he needs to know the VIN in advance- these things aren't as unique as we might think.

Nowhere as unique as you might think. I'm on left side shock.

Need a VIN or VON, I see 450-480 of these Jeeps per day, 6 days a week dude. Need more info than color. :)

VON: 24289446.

If you do see it are you alowed to somehow mark it, maybe an extra dab of "i'm done paint"?

I "mark" every one I build by routing the wiring a certain way. But you won't be able to see it unless you take apart the Jeep and remove the covering.

I'll look out for your VON. All I needed was the last 4 though, heh.
