BDS lift kit and new tires

Tomorrow I'm ordering a 2" BDS lift kit with all new springs, shocks, and steering stabilizer. Also for my winter tire I'm ordering 265/70/17 General Grabber AT2. Anybody have a BDS lift? I've heard great things about them.:D

I'm selling my hankook tires on my 20's so I can order Cooper Zeon LTZ's in the spring. 285/55/20 AT's won't fit on a stock lift. I'm pumped to get it all on.

But i put a BDS 6.5" long arm on my TJ when i over hauled it again, LOVE it..the only thing i didnt like after the fact was it still used a track arm for both axles.

Where did you order the AT2's from? I was looking to get some in stock size from TireRack, but they are discontinued and don't have 4 remaining. :(

A local dealer. I'm getting them for $620 mounted and balanced. Maybe tire rack is discontinuing them.

Re: BDS lift kit and new tires

So....I get my 2" BDS lift installed and the tires rub bad. The V8 makes the front end sag a little bit. The owner ordered me a 1.75" leveling kit for the front. The 265/70/17 should fit but they don't. The kit came with longer shocks and longer heavy duty springs. Does anybody see problems with adding the leveling kit on top of the 2" lift? It does state on BDS website if you have a v8 you might not get the desired lift. I just don't want to have to start replacing everything else because of this.

Honestly bro, i'm no expert but I think you can add a leveling kit to the front, and then slap on wheel spacers? Not sure tho. 265 I thought would fit np...

I'm at 3" and run 255/75/17's.

You may have some driveline problems with 1.75" additional lift in the front. You can get .75" leveling kit for the front. I would get an adjustable track bar for that height. I also had to add a second steering stabilizer to get rid of death wobble.

Re: BDS lift kit and new tires

Well, I got my jeep back today. Total lift is around 3.5" in the front and 2" in the back. The jeep sits level now. Wish i didn't have to add a 1.75" leveling kit. The tires barely fit.....but they fit. lol The only problem i have now is that there is a lot of sway and body roll so i'm thinking of getting a bigger rear sway bar and an adjustable track bar. No death wobble...thank God!!!! Pics coming soon!!!
