Hmm, I have no idea... have you disconnected the negative on the battery yet..? Try that out and see if that re-sets anything... I don't know man, just throwing ideas around.
I would try removing the radio and making sure that all of the connections on the back are tight and secure. If everything is tight back there I'd say that radio might be toast.
Would be a good time to upgrade to the RAQ in dash 6-disc player though, or even the REC navigation.
I think you can find the RAQ for anywhere between $125 and $200 on ebay, and check LXforums because a lot of guys on there will sell their factory radios cheap when they go aftermarket.
I would absolutely not buy a replacement from the dealer - they will charge you so much money. The MRSP on these stock radios is retarded.
If you replace the radio in there with the same one (model REF) I am pretty sure they won't notice. If anything you are doing them a favor by returning the truck with a working radio. If they tried to ding you for that I'd take it out and put the broken one back in lol.
took it to the dealer with 37,500 miles on it. Leak in the sun roof and the radio problem.
calls 5 hours into the day and says... we re sealed the sunroof, windshield, and entire A pillar in front of the doors. (way more than just the sunroof) and they ordered a new radio for it.
I say woah woah....out of warranty, per you, i didnt authorize so much work....
Him: "well sir, it looks like you're still under warranty because its under 36,000 miles"
Me: "um.... no... its 37,500 (i didnt want the guy to get himself in trouble for making a mistake"
Him: nope, its under 36,000 sir, no charge.
Me: yessir!
i get in there and he says "you've been taking your jeep to us all along, like clockwork, it pays to be a loyal customer."
almost $1,000 worth of work, signed a work order with $0,00 on the bottom line.
