Why would anyone buy the Limited?

When you add the luxury package and the 20" wheels to the Limited, it's only $100 less than the Overland. So for $100 you get the quadra-lift, vented front seats, heated rear seats, wood steering wheel, leather dash.

Sounds like a no-brainer to me, unless you just don't want the leather interior. In which case you'd be better off with the Laredo X.

Which explains two things -- why the Overland is on restriction, because everyone has figured this out -- and why there are so many Limited lamentably languishing on local dealers lots.

Fully agree with you.

Because I couldnt find a dealer that had one. I found a dealer that had a limited with a hemi, vented seats, 20" wheels, nav and backseat tv.

Did he give you a smokin' hot deal?

Because you don't need to add all those options into a Limited to save some cash! Yes, we've determined that the Overland is a great value if you want all the goodies, but they're not necessary.

But when I eliminate the Luxury Group from the Limited, I can build a Laredo X with the same features for less than the Limited, can't I? Unless I'm missing something.

FYI: Laredo X also includes leather. One of the reason to go with Laredo vs Ltd or OV is if you don't want moonroof (I don't) and don't need any other options exclusive to Ltd or Ov

I didn't want the Overland label on the seats and at the time I didn't want quadra lift.

So I configured a Limited the way I wanted it and am happy with my choice...

I thought so. I also bought 4x2 and I'm not sure you get QL on the overland 4x2.

You don't.

The difference is roughly a grand if you take out the luxury package. The limited also comes with the heated rear seats. In our case the luxury package and air were two things my wife didn't really care about either way, so it made more sense to pocket the extra grand. Now I agree with you that the Limited starts to make much less sense if you're talking V8, lux package and 20s.

No. You can't get the bi-xenon lights, remote start, heated rear seats, rain sensing wipers or 730N on the Laredo X.

Remote Start comes with the X package.

If the residuals and lease numbers had been better on the Limited I would've gone with that, strictly for the bi-xenon's and the dimming side view mirrors. Those are the two things I really miss on the Laredo X.
