front protection?

Anyone get a clear bra for the front of their WK2? If so, what kind did you get and how much was it? I'm looking to get something soon..

Not on the Jeep yet, but have had them on all my CO cars going back 10 years. IMO they are a requisite for the road debris here, look great, and hold up well.

You might ask your dealer for an aftermarket shop, best guess it's around $250 done properly using the 3M materials. Suggest doing the A-pillars which can also take a beating here.

Check these guys out, they do window tinting and other cool stuff: http://www.extremeaw.com/Clear_Bras

I had a clear bra put on the front bumper, hood, fenders, and doors. I negotiated this into a package with rust proofing, undercoating, and clear bra for $999. All three came with a lifetime warranty. Usually people only put clear bra on the metal parts but I wanted it on the plastic bumper as well for added protection.

Please excuse the non Jeep materials. This clear bra is 5 years old.

Wow, that is so much cheaper than I was getting quoted around here. To get a 3M clear bra professionally installed on the front bumper, hood, fenders, and a few other small places like behind the door handles...I would probably be looking at around $1500.

How do people polish/wax the paint if they have paint protection on almost all of the vehicle? (bumper, hood, fenders etc)

Whats the main purpose of a clear bra?

I only have the 3M material covering the front end (minus the grill), extending to about 18" behind the front of the hood/and towards the back of each quarter panel. That plus the a pillars and mirrors. In this case, we only wash the clear bra materials, and wax all else. As you can see it really isn't that noticeable in most light.

The clear bra protects the body from road debris, here in Colorado it's mostly sand and melt materials from winter that causes vehicle rash. It's bad enough to pit windshields and cause regular replacements even if you manage to avoid windshild cracks and spiderwebs. Most import dealers here include the front clear bra in standard dealer prep.

clear bra only covers a portion about 6 inches wide on each item...only the front portions that are prone to rock chips. main purpose is the same as any traditional leather car bra...to protect from rock chips and also they are easier to clean when splattered with bugs.

I like the link, I'm also doing the clear bra and need a reputable spot to get it done. I'm also tinting the front windows but would like advice with which color, %, brand to go with if I want to match front windows with factory back tint.

lol.. it's not paint matched, though the thought has crossed my mind. It's just the lighting and the building reflection.
