Tow IV has heavy duty engine /transmission cooling, higher output alternator.

Thanks. Is the trailer tow group for 3.6L and tow IV for 5.7L?

When I ordered in July both were available for the 5.7 I got the Class IV tow group because it was only about 100.00 more and you get the better alternator and overall better deal. I think the Class IV is available for 3.6 as well. You just cant pull as much with that engine/vehicle.

Yes, though the HD brakes are part of the Hemi V8 package.

You guys getting snow yet in the Wasatch?

I didn't realise there was a different braking system for V6 vs V8.

On the Jeep.com website, an Overland 4x4 gets Towing IV automatically with the 5.7.
