Brake pedal feel

I really have to press the brake pedal far before the the brakes really grab. I replaced the rotors and pads due to wear and had the brake system flushed.

Master cylinder?

It seems like i have to press the pedal the same distance every time. If I don't drive it for 3 -4 days and go to drive it the pedal does feel like it should the first few stops then goes back to what it usually feels like. Thanks

Re: Brake pedal feel

I'd say re-Bleed them.

Re: Brake pedal feel

I upgraded to the akebono calipers up front, new pads all around, new rotors all around, new master cylinder, and a new bleed and I still have the exact same mushy pedal feel as before. She stops on a dime now, but it didn't fix the problem I was trying to address. Don't let me discourage you, but that's my story.

Re: Brake pedal feel

I would try flushing the whole system and be careful if you let the brake fluid run dry you'll have to start that line all over it only takes one air pocket to screw up the whole process. I also recommend getting a bleeding kit it makes it a lot easier and stops air from getting sucked back in
