SRT8 springs on Stock WK
I'm putting SRT8 springs on my 2009 Limited. Do I need to cut the stock rear or front bumpstops? If so, how much should I cut off? Do you just cut off the pointed end with a hacksaw? Thanks

No cutting necessary....but its up to you

Re: SRT8 springs on Stock WK
Thanks. I wanted to be sure I had enough travel and cut if necessary when it was apart. I guess i shouldn't hit the bumpstops too often in normal driving.

Re: SRT8 springs on Stock WK
When you're done I'd like to know what the before/after measurements were, from the ground to the top of the wheel well at the wheel centerline, both fronts and backs? Also, what is your tire diameter? Thanks!!

Re: SRT8 springs on Stock WK

The SRT springs are now installed on my 2009 WK Limited. Most noticable was the firmness of the ride. Doesn't seem to float around as much. I didn't get alot of lower ride height though, although just as Scott predicted. Here are the measurements from ground to wheelwell at wheel centerline:
Before (Stock) After SRT install
LF 32 1/2" 31 1/2"
RF 32 1/2" 31 5/8"
LR 33 1/4" 32 3/8"
RR 33 1/4" 32 1/4"

I think it was well worth the effort. Thanks Scottina for your valuable input!!

Re: SRT8 springs on Stock WK
The springs were from a 2008 SRT8 and had been removed at 2 months old for Road Magnets. I think the 1" drop looks pretty good. Maybe the SRT side skirts would help with the lower look.

Re: SRT8 springs on Stock WK
Thanks for the measurements. I just ordered Eibachs for my 06 GCO. Should get them and have them in by mid-late next week. I'll let you know the after measurements. My before measurements are, fronts 33.25, rears 32.625.
