Debadge help

I hope this is the right forum for this. If not please move it, i've got a huge headache tonight haha. I just debadged my 1999 wj. Most areas are perfect. But some, like one side of the truck on the "GRAND CHEROKEE" You can still see the outline, obviously because my paint is horrid and under these have never seen daylight. Is there any way to fix this? Just wait and dirty it up? Also, the 4X4 on one side still has the outline exactly of the badge. Seems like glue or something, maybe just a little of the adhesive on the sides. Looks horrid...just like a raised 4X4 sign instead of the badge being there. Any way to fix this up? Everything else went well.

Thanks in advance!

~Kyle~

Re: Debadge help

1) hair dryer or quick heat gun if adhesive is stubborn
2) goo done/simple green/citrus degreaser. wd40 will do it as well
3) wash and wax

Might need to clay bar the area and then polish it with some SwirlX to blend it in.

OK, I have a problem. The left side rear (drivers side). The 4X4 badge that I was talking about, that came off just the same as all the rest but left an outline....seems like they fudged up somehow when making it and put the clear coat over the badge....Now I have a 4X4 logo where the clear coat is not there only paint. How can I fix this CHEAP! I am so pissed....I did every part the same, all the other sides are good. Please help!

Thanks

~Kyle~

Here is a picture of what I am talking about. Please confirm what will fix this. I don't see how clay bar and polish will fix there being no clear coat....

Re: Debadge help

there is clear coat there, it's the sun effect plus the adhesive they use ...

1st - Goo gone (if that doesnt work)
2nd - 3M adhesive remover (apply with heat gun or hair dryer much easier to remove)
3rd - If no heat gun available use hot water with MF towel with adhesive remover will require lots of elbow grease
4th - If little marring still exists then use clay bar first to clear area
5th - Use some Ultimate Compound of M105 then polish with M205 to blend all in

That's what I did and it seems as if it was never there
