Install Issue
I had an Alpine INA-W900 installed into my 2007 GC Limited (factory RAQ with Boston Acoustics package) by a shop in Southeastern MA, along with the module for steering wheel controls.

There was an initial problem with the install as the voice prompt from the Navigation system was not audible. I took it back to the shop and they solved that problem.

In general it appears that after the install there is a bias in that the majority of the audio is coming from the front dash speakers. Additionally the fade does not work properly and appears to be inverted; fading to the rear brings the audio to the front and fading to the front causes silence with no sound coming from the rear speakers. The shop wasn’t able to simply explain the problem and stated that it could only be solved by re-wiring the entire truck.

Has anyone encountered any similar problems?

Re: Install Issue
It sounds like they forgot to hook up some wires. Did you get a wiring harness? or did the place where you got it done use a wiring harness? If they just did a hack and splice then that would explain alot but if they did use a harness, then they missed some wires that need to be hooked up

Re: Install Issue
That shouldn't be an issue,i have the exact same deck in my truck, albeit without the premium stereo but i've never heard anybody else with problems like you describe. Do you know which wiring harness adaptor they used?

Re: Install Issue
on the 07.....

the PAC harness loses fade altogether.
The Metra keeps it.

Also from the factory the front door are WOOF only. the front dash are mid/hi. Did they mess with speakers or are they original.

Like others i have a Pioneer but it all works.

Re: Install Issue
Speakers are original.

I looked at the work order earlier and there was no explicit charge for a new wiring harness.

I provided the navigation bezel and bought the unit and steering wheel control module from them and they charged $100 for install.
