Pull WK behind RV - what's this gadget do?

I purchased a vehicle that was previously towed behind an RV. It has this air hose hookup underneath the steering wheel and I can't figure out what it is via google or search on this forum. Can somebody please advise? Thanks.

Alot of cars that are towed behind RV's have a drive line disconect that is initialized via a pull in the vehichle.

Probably for the tow brake system. There are some systems which mount an air cylinder between the seat and brake pedal. When the air brakes on the coach are applied the cylinder is pressurized to apply the jeep brakes.

Look for cylinder mounts or evidence where they once were installed. Also if you trace the air line it probably goes to the front of the vehicle where it could be connected to the coach with quick disconnects.

There are several different braking systems available for towed vehicles and this is one type.
