putting leds in front turn signal..which wire?

Im replacing my front turn signal bulbs with leds, and Im adding a couple resistors, I know one wire needs to be tapped to ground but I need to know which color wire I need to tap for the turn signal? Thanks

the other outer one. black o one end (ground) and across to the other end, no touch the MIDDLE wire.

Re: putting leds in front turn signal..which wire?

Got the resistors and turn signal leds installed, I used Stugots install guide, however one thing that differed on my install is that I had two of each green,black/purple and black wire on both sides which didn't seem to be a problem, I just tapped one of the black and green wires and the leds seem to function normally, I think the leds look much better than the incandescent bulbs. I used 6 ohm 50 watt resistors and a pair of GP Thunder 31 led bulbs from eBay.... BTW be sure to mount the resistor on solid metal and NOT on plastic as they get very hot and can melt the plastic.

the 2 wires same color are the same wire. one is intothe light and one is OUT. then it goes to the side marker bulb. so really eaither one would work!

and yes, they get freaking hot.

I learned the hard way and mounted the resistors for the taillight leds on the reverse light housing and lets just say I have two discolored spots on the housing from the resistors:(, I now have them mounted on metal.;)

hers a pic of the leds at night. I replaced both the main bulbs and the little side bulbs and everything works fine. I like the look of leds alot better than incandescent.

Re: putting leds in front turn signal..which wire?

Anyone know if there is a difference in operation for resistors sized 50W/75W/100W? I noticed on autolumination that they "decrease temperature" with a larger wattage... will that affect the operation of the lights?? I'm not sure if I understand the difference between 1.5, 3, and 6 ohm resistors either... I've read a ton of posts about what everyone has used, just trying to understand why....

Thanks

not positive but higher wattage generally means higher load (more amperage)if you go too far beyond what is recommended than you will or can start blowing fuses or melting wires or starting electrical fires

I'm a bit late but I did this and still have hyper flash. I did the same in the rear...avoiding the middle wire. What's the deal!!!? Thanks.
