Another 730N question

Sorry if this was covered somewhere else. Is the 730N unit the same as the MyGIG that was available with the 2008-2010 WK?

Re: Another 730N question

There were two MyGIG systems (with and without navigation). They started using the Media Center name last year.

But yes, the 730N is the same radio that's been on the WK since 2008. Sales code RER. Soon to be replaced by an updated version, RHR.

Re: Another 730N question

It has a different bus system though so they are not interchangeable.

Thank you. That was all I needed. So the WK2 Nav/Radio has not been updated since the WK.

The 730N RER (now no longer available) had not. The coming 730N RHR will be new. The 430N RHB was indeed new.

The carryover was limited to the RER head unit, and that's now past.

If my Overland is being built in the next couple of weeks will it come with RER or RHR?

Probably the RHB. RHR isn't in production yet (late January), and unless there's a few stragglers in the production pipeline, the RER is done. The 430N RHB has been the standard nav since early July. Any orders placed after that get the 430N RHB unless the 730N was specified.

Do you mean that the RER cannot be changed out with the RHR?

I mean 2008-2010 cant be changed with 2011.

I ordered my Overland with the 730N and yesterday I got notified it was D1 status,
so I,m in the dark as to which 730 model it will come with knowing it should be built in the next couple of weeks? Does anyone have any idea of which unit I should expect.

Best info is that the RHR won't go into production for another 8-10 weeks, so I'd anticipate you'd get the RER (I had no clue if they were still producing vehicles with that unit).

Thanks for the info, guess I'll just have to wait and see.
