Tow Hooks on Overland with 20'' wheel package

Is it possible to add them? I have an off road course around my city that requires a rear receiver hitch and front hooks. I have the rear receiver hitch but no hooks. Just the mouldings where they should be on my Overland. I wanted the larger wheels instead of the 18's so I opted out of the OffRoadII package. Is it something that had to be installed at the factory? I hope not.

You can install them. The Question is when they will be available through the parts department.

These are black, sturdy cast material with mounting instructions. In stock. I'll post photos late tonight but give them a thumbsup.

WK2 mounting requires nothing beyond socket wrench, torque wrench, and screwdrivers. Front dam comes off then hooks mount with brackets and hefty bolts/nuts.

I just ordered a pair for mine, they just came in yesterday and will try and install them asap. I will probably put up pics of the install, i hear its not that difficult and takes about 60-90 minutes.

Oh and i dont think it really has anything to do with the wheels, im sure the tow hooks will work just fine either way.

i got mine here...

WK2 Tow Hook shots below. Front dam comes off, brackets bolt to frame, hooks bolt to brackets, damn goes back on.

A word to those who might be towing their JGC behind a motorhome.

Don't waste your time and money on the factory tow hooks. They have to be removed permanently and replaced with tow bar brackets when using a Blue Ox or Roadmaster tow bar, for certain. I haven't checked other manufacturers mounting practice.

Has anyone checked the dealer price for installing the tow hooks?

My dealer was going to give me the price once they become readily available; haven't heard from them yet. If they're available from assorted places and come with instructions, I'll probably do it myself.

My guess is they'll charge an hour or so of labor, and at dealer rates that can be anywhere from $90-120.
