brake rotor sizes

Anyone know if the brakes are the same and/or same size across all the trim levels? I have an opportunity to get a set of 17" from the Laredo for cheap and am thinking about it. Will they fit on my Overland?

Doesn't the Hemi get you heavy duty brakes, as well?

Correct, if possible may want to first check caliper clearance on 17's.

5.7-Liter V8 MDS VVT Engine $ 1,995
Quadra-Drive II 4WD System
Electronic Limited-Slip Rear Differential
Trailer Tow Group IV
Heavy Duty Engine Cooling
220-Amp Alternator
Antilock 4-Wheel Disc Heavy Duty Brakes

Dual Bright Rear Exhaust Tips

and this on my build sheet:

BR6P Anti-Lock 4-Wheel Disc HD Brakes

instead of this on the non 5.7 Overlands sticker:

Antilock 4-Wheel Disc Brakes

and this on non 5.7 Overland build sheets:

BRY 4-Wheel Anti-Lock Brakes

Chrysler was just kidding, and there's really no difference?

not in regards to the rotors, no.

So does anyone know what the difference is?

Calipers, pads?

My guess would be better pads on the heavy duty option, calipers would be a lot of money to upgrade. Just my 2 cents..........

I tried a 17" rim/snow tire package on my 2011 WK2, with heavy duty brakes, and the rims contacted the brake calipers before they completely seated on the hubs. Switched to a 18" rim - no problem.

Re: brake rotor sizes

there is a difference between the rotors and calipers, the Limited QT2 V8 gets Heavy duty brakes, Overland as well. BUT my Laredo with V8, tow package, off road 2 with QD2 does NOT come with heavy duty brakes. The rotors, calipers, brackets and pins are different. I can feel a difference between my Limited and Laredo as far as stopping power, it is noticeble. I will probably upgrade as options become available.
