Ipod touch compatibility with 430

Connected IPOD touch 3rd gen. with USB located in the console and I get an error message after selecting AUX. I do the same thing with a IPOD classic and it works properly. Is the ipod touch 3rd gen not compatible or do I need to change some settings on the ipod? I have a 430 RBZ. Thanks!

I can't download any of my music from my Iphone 3G to the HDD. A window pops up saying "there is no downloadable music from this device"

Thats because the music on the Ipod is in a propietary format. Welcome to the world of Apple. I have lots of I devices and I still love and hate them.

You are not able to download music from an iPod or iPhone. It is specifically disallowed in order to prevent piracy. If you want to load the internal HD, you have to use a USB flash drive.

You cannot download music from ipod to your hard drive. Instead you are better off tranferring the audio files (mp3, wma or aac) from your computer using a flash drive formatted to FAT 32. I have a 32 gig flash drive that holds my entire music collection and runs right off the USB port in the center console. I take it out and update it periodically.
