Bluetooth trouble with 430N
Has anyone else had this problem?
My phone is not listed on the nav radio list at chrysler, but the list is not for the 430N. The list is for two other radios, 730N and one other, both are last years models. The phone is a Samsung "rugby".
Initially the phone paired and has been working fine. Today a text message came in for the first time in the car. Uconnect prompt told me I had a text message and asked if I wanted to read it. I commanded "read message", after a second or two the system simply said "cologne" and went off. I tried twice more with the same result.
When I arrived at my destination I read the message from the phone and deleted it. When I re-entered the vehicle at lunch the icon for a message was still on the display. I tried it again thinking the RHR might have stored it somehow. The message and results were the same.
After this the system no longer saw my phone. Also at the very top of the EVIC instead of the radio station was a non-selectable line which said "blu col". I contacted U connect by land line, they suggested deleting the phone from the U connect system and re-pairing the phone.
After deleting the device the message in the EVIC went away and in it's place was the radio station again. Now the radio doesn't see the phone and I couldn't pair it again. It tells me no phone available 6 different times. We tried shutting the power down on the vehicle ignition then powering it back up, also shutting the phone off and then on again, all with no luck.
The U connect representative finally told me to carry it to the dealer and have it "hard" reset by pulling the fuse for it. Since I haven't received my owners manuals yet to know what fuses are what and where I guess it's a call or trip to the local dealer.
