500 miles and already a nail in the tire!!

Man I am kicking myself for not getting the tire care with this one. I have always had good luck with this, I guess all good things come to an end. Hopefully my dealer will be nice to me when i bring it in in the morning. If not I think it can be patched.

Pay the few extra dollars and make sure they patch it and not give you a cheapo plug. Just my 2 cents.

Yeah, I didn't notice cause it was such a slow leak till I went out to throw some cans in the recycle bin. I called AAA since I had been drinking and they put my spare on so it wouldn't hurt the tire or the rim more. They told me to make sure it is a patch and not a plug, also mentioned that a lot of local dealers can be "nice" and replace it since it only has 500 miles on the truck. Fingers crossed but I expect a patch. Will update and let you know.

Did the EVIC warn you of low tire pressure? Was there an icon and a chime and did it display the actual tire pressure reading?

Agree with the guy above, do a patch not a plug. Every new car I have had the same thing has happened. So far not with this jeep.

What's wrong with tire plugs? I've installed them myself on several punctured tires and have never once had a problem with them.

Ran over a house key the second day I had mine. Discount tire repaired it for free. The next day I went back in and paid $25 a tire for their warranty. Anything happens besides normal wear and you get a new tire and only pay the $25 renewal on the warranty. Way better than what the dealer offered.
