big problem need help
 
well it happened to me about six or seven different times while driving on the highway at about 70 to 90mph my girl just felt like it down shifted like it just went into 1st gear or something and then went back to normal dont know whats going on scared it may cause an accident or somthing it so severe had me like OH $#!+ WHAT THE f--- so if anybody knows what this is or has had a similar problem please help me out.

Did it actually downshift?
Did you notice the tacho (rpm counter)?

pleae put a MY in your sig or post. i can see a WK in the avatar, so i am guessing that.......







battery is the most common casue of those types of freaked out things.
when the battery is low all sorts of stuff happens.

other things after that is ESM which is the shifter, again MY and engine size help here, so leave it a t that for now.

no i didnt see the rpms but it was a big jerk and it feels as if it down shifted so bad it startled my passengers

sorry my engine is the5.7 hemi thats suppose to use 4cyl when not driving hard and 8cyl when you lean on it

I had a similar issue with my 05 WK 4.7. After lots of tinkering, the ultimate cause for me was the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS).
