Daytime running lights

Wondering if the daytime running lights on feature can be bypassed by the dealer?..2011 Overland Hemi 4X2..

According to my dealer....no. It cannot. And they are pretty honest usually. Especially when I am willing to pay for them to do some non-wArranty work. Swap to LEDs if you want a better look, just take out the bulbs if you really don't want any. And supposedly there is a fuse or relay that can be pulled. But not sure if it affects anything else.

I pulled the fuse, nothing else has been affected that I've noticed.

I was totally against them but now that they are bright white instead of yellow. I think they actually look pretty good. Especially since they match the HIDs almost perfectly.

Looks good with the LEDs but also having the drl's let's everyone know it isn't a Laredo.

If it's just a fuse can you turn them on in a Laredo?

that could be something to look into.....but why?

whatevrworks 11-25-2010 05:31 PM

No. In limited and overlandsthe bi-xenon lights combine the high and low beam headlights. This makes room for the drls. In the Laredo since there are regular separate high and low beams there is no spot for DRLs to be installed unless you want to drive around all the time with low beams on and call it that! :p

^^^^dont some vehicles use the high beam bulb and the drl just limits the voltage while on? What do the non-hid vehicles in Canada use?
